The Therapeutic Metaphor
You've raised the children, are settled at work, and are pretty financially comfortable. One day you look in the mirror and the first thought to pop into your head is, "Who are you?" You got married in your twenties, spent the next twenty five raising one, two, three or more children, and took care of everyone's needs and wants. BUT....who are YOU? This workshop explores the possible identity dilemmas of the mid years, and presents strategies for learning about YOU!

The Sandwich Generation
The children are just about grown. Now it is your turn! Or so you thought. Now your aged mother in law is moving in with you. This workshop describes the caretaking role in the family. As the life span increases, and more people are living to older ages, more women take on the caretaking role--taking care of elders who have moved in with their adult children. The stresses of this sandwiched family, three generations living under the same roof, can be enormous. This workshop presents some of these stresses and strategies for coping.
