Re-Romanticizing Your Relationship
Very often couples lose the passion in their relationship.
They feel like brother and sister living in the same
house. They enter therapy wishing that their relationship
could be like it was when they first met. This workshop
discusses the traps and pitfalls of relationships and
teaches exercises that increase intimacy.
Joan D. Atwood, Ph.D.

Getting Rid of Your Gremlins
Many people have anger issues that bring on negative
consequences for them. This workshop focuses on
anger and stress (gremlins) and helps participants
explore their trigger buttons. They then learn coping
skills to help them manage their anger.
John Duffy, MA, MFT

The Therapeutic Metaphor
You've raised the children, are settled at work, and are
pretty financially comfortable. One day you look in the
mirror and the first thought to pop into your head is,
"Who are you?" You got married in your twenties, spent
the next twenty five raising one, two, three or more
children, and took care of everyone's needs and wants.
BUT....who are YOU? This workshop explores the
possible identity dilemmas of the mid years, and
presents strategies for learning about YOU!
Joan D. Atwood, Ph.D.

Healthy Parenting
This workshop explores how to be a competent parent.
Information is given on building self-confidence and
self-esteem in your child, how to set up consequences,
and how to help your child become a psychologically
comfortable adult.
Mary Canzoneri, MA, MFT
Staying Sane While Living With A Teenager
Living with a teenager was once described to me as
having root canal without Novocaine. This workshop
gives information on the psychological stage of
adolescence and discusses competent parenting
during this time period.
John Duffy, MA, MFT

How Not To Marry a Jerk/Jerkess
This workshop is for any couple in a serious
relationship. It discusses the ways to spot a
jerk/jerkess and presents methods for avoiding and/or
dealing with them.
Joan D. Atwood, Ph.D.

The Brady Bunch Lie
The remarried family is one of the most complex family
forms. This workshop explores the challenges of the
remarried family and presents practical strategies for
helping families through the transition to the healthy
remarried family.
Joan D. Atwood, Ph.D.

Divorce and Its Aftermath
Divorce is one of the most stressful events a family
can experience. Every family member is affected by it.
This workshop presents the emotional aspects of
divorce for adults and children, discusses the typical
stages of divorce, and explores coping skills for this
transitional period.
Joan D. Atwood, Ph.D.

The Sandwich Generation
The children are just about grown. Now it is your turn!
Or so you thought. Now your aged mother in law is
moving in with you. This workshop describes the
caretaking role in the family. As the life span
increases, and more people are living to older ages,
more women take on the caretaking role--taking care
of elders who have moved in with their adult children.
The stresses of this sandwiched family, three
generations living under the same roof, can be
enormous. This workshop presents some of these
stresses and strategies for coping.
